Hello! I am Jodi Rooney, your Republican candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 1. I’ve been honored to serve the Town of Prescott Valley as a Councilmember, and I believe the time is right to invest years of leadership and government experience toward a stronger, safer, more robust Arizona.

I am a Daughter of the American Revolution and my family fought to support the birth of our constitution. I firmly believe in the 2nd Amendment giving us the right to bear arms. That includes passing down gun ownership within the family just as my family has done. My Grandfather gave his life at the Battle of the Bulge. We serve and I am grateful for all who serve. Just as my people fought, I will fight to protect your rights. I am a conservative Republican running as a challenger for a House seat. I am proud to be an American.

Since I was young, I have held a deep aspiration for public service. Consequently, when the timing was right, I recognized that I need to step up. We enjoy a good quality of life here. I want to maintain that and work on the things that need attention. For that reason, I am focusing on:

• The I-17 Transportation Corridor
• Education
• Economic Development

I believe there are many people who have a heart for public service and have pondered the possibility. Sometimes it’s about the right time or just being asked to serve. I want to encourage others to step up. We need people to serve on school boards, fire boards, commissions, councils and in elected office. I know there are people who have interest. You know who you are; I encourage you to engage.
